Jewish & Interfaith Ceremonies
So, you're diving into wedding plans; the first few conversations have probably felt quite exciting; the world is your oyster! Then you’ve found yourselves navigating conversations about how to respect your different beliefs and upbringings whilst still creating a ceremony that equally embodies both of you. Maybe you're exploring some beautiful cultural rituals you could include on the day and discussing how you'll ensure that ALL of your guests will feel included, and perhaps, in the background there is a hint of family expectation thrown into the mix.
So, how do you balance it all, and still ensure your ceremony is about the two of you and your life together, all while having fun in the process?
Here's the scoop: there's more than one way to be Jewish! So, we can draw inspiration from a rich tapestry of traditions and practices, and look at them within the context of your relationship to help us shape a ceremony that reflects both of you equally. In my own relationship, I bring my Jewish background while my partner brings another, so I totally understand navigating that mix of traditions. We'll infuse these time-tested traditions with your personal stories and backgrounds, creating an authentic and meaningful celebration that mirrors your unique journey as a couple.
While Jewish weddings are my specialty, I'm a bit of a culture junkie, and absolutely love the diversity that rituals and traditions bring to our lives. I thrive on creating a ceremony that will make sure your special day is something that is not only meaningful to you, but one where your guests, regardless of their familiarity with your cultural practices, will enjoy participating in, and find truly captivating.
Over the years I've had the opportunity to create some incredibly fun and eclectic ceremonies, from the union of Scottish (Celtic) and Indian (Hindu) traditions to Irish (Catholic) and Indian (Sikh), Persian (Zoroastrian) and Christian, Italian and Jewish, Greek and Maltese, to Chinese and Finnish (of Muslim faith) – each ceremony has been a vibrant (and sometimes delicious) celebration, honouring couple's unique love stories
Whether you're from a family that has a strong cultural connection or you're just looking to include a subtle nod to your roots, I'll guide you through the planning so that we strike the perfect balance and create a ceremony that is as distinctive as your love.
You and your families are in good hands as we collaborate to craft a ceremony that feels just right for everyone.
